Today, President Donald Trump is traveling to Scotland, his mother’s native country, for four days. During the trip, he will meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Scottish First Minister John Swinney. The president will be visiting his golf courses at Turnberry on the Ayrshire coast and Menie in Aberdeenshire. President Trump will make a state visit to the United Kingdom in September.
The House Ways and Means Committee, chaired by Representative Jason Smith of Missouri, is holding a full committee field hearing in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the impact of the One, Big, Beautiful Bill on small businesses and the service and manufacturing industries.
The House Veterans Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Technology Modernization, chaired by Representative Tom Barrett of Michigan, is holding a field hearing in Urbana, Illinois. They will hear testimony from Veterans Health Administration officials and other healthcare providers on the care available to rural veterans.
